This album was recorded in New York City the day after the JeJaWeDa quartet performance at Pioneer Works (recordings of which, Vols. 1 and 2, are now out on Balance Point Acoustics, and available soon here).

Damon Smith of JeJaWeDa had originally organized this recording session for us to do as a quartet with him on bass, but then had a scheduling issue and couldn't make it. So we recorded as a trio.

This run of work marked the first time Weasel Walter and I had done anything more than the very occasional one-off gig since I left the ever-shifting Flying Luttenbachers in 1994. A 25th anniversary reunion, of sorts, and our first recording together since the Luttenbachers' Destroy All Music.

This was also my first encounter with the wonderful and unique Alex Ward, and I hope we'll meet again soon.

What you hear on this album is the entire session that we did that day -- every take, unedited, in the order we did them. Play loud.
